Wolfe, O.D., F.A.A.O Introduction Similar to how a dentist/hygienist removes plaque on a regular basis from teeth, eye care providers use in office tools to remove biofilms from the eyelids. Peeq is a unique tool that can reduce biofilms and prevent dry eye at home. According to the Tear Film Ocular Society (TFOS) Dry Eye Workshop 2 (DEWS 2), the prevalence of dry eye is between 5-50% [1].
